Posted by

Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter

Do you like working with kids? Do you enjoy LEGO building and creative engineering?

Become a LEGO Club Assistant and interact with kids in preschool through 5th grade as they create, build, and imagine new worlds. This program takes place at Hollywood Library on the first and third Monday of each month from 3:00 – 4:45 pm.

Your role includes helping set up LEGO stations, talking with children about their creations, as well as helping to clean up at the end of the program. Previous experience working with children and building LEGO structures is very helpful.

About the Organization

Multnomah County Library’s mission: Empowering our community to learn and create.

Multnomah County Library is a key community asset, serving people and enabling individual and community development. As the world around us changes rapidly, we hold constant three pillars that define the library’s role and value in this community: free access for all, a trusted guide for learning, the leading advocate for reading.

About the Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter

The Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter allows students, faculty, and staff at PCC a more comprehensive look at volunteer needs and opportunities from our community partners. Our hope is that the newsletter will allow subscribers to stay better informed about community service opportunities in the tri-county areas of Portland, Oregon, as well as non-profit internships and scholarships available locally and nationally.
