Community Energy Project: Advisory Committee Member
Posted by hannah.cherry
Do you have a passion for environmental justice, issues faced by low-income communities, and equity?
CEP is assembling a new Advisory Committee to help us keep our programs relevant, cutting edge, and effective while we work within our mission. Each meeting will give the group an opportunity to learn and inform us about new possible projects, programs, and approaches to solving issues within our communities. Meetings will be shaped by the group itself. There will be four meetings annually (1 per quarter approx 3 hr meetings).

About the Organization
Founded in 1979, Community Energy Project believes that everyone deserves a safe, healthy, efficient home regardless of income. We do this through education, hands-on training, and distribution of weatherization, and lead poisoning prevention materials. We also provide direct weatherization and safety repairs to seniors and people with disabilities. We deliver these services in partnership with community members and service organizations, utilities, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
About the Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter
The Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter allows students, faculty, and staff at PCC a more comprehensive look at volunteer needs and opportunities from our community partners. Our hope is that the newsletter will allow subscribers to stay better informed about community service opportunities in the tri-county areas of Portland, Oregon, as well as non-profit internships and scholarships available locally and nationally.
