In this hybrid online/face to face class, we will explore the dynamic social, institutional, and environmental issues that affect the health of global and local communities. Topics include:
- Social inequality and health
- Sexual and reproductive health, education, and policy
- Global health issues and international development
- The environment and food systems

Courses with community-based learning (CBL) provide students with the opportunity to: explore local, national, and/or global issues; broaden their perspectives and enhance critical thinking skills; and become active citizens through community engagement. There are numerous courses that have CBL projects every term!
