Friends of Trees: Help your community select trees for their home (September)

Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter

Friends of Trees Tree Caller Vols Needed!

Join us on Wednesday evenings starting mid-August from 6-8pm to grow greener neighborhoods by calling our ‘treecipients’ and helping them pick out new trees for their neighborhood tree planting. You’ll learn about the different types of trees Friends of Trees plants, and how to help neighbors navigate the FOT website and tree ordering process.

This is a very social volunteer role, great for someone interested in refining their phone calling and customer service skills.

A short orientation is required. And you’ll be asked to commit to at least three Wednesday evenings at our office at 3117 NE MLK Blvd in NE Portland (map). Total time commitment is about 7-10 hours; this is an ongoing role through February.

About the Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter

The Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter allows students, faculty, and staff at PCC a more comprehensive look at volunteer needs and opportunities from our community partners. Our hope is that the newsletter will allow subscribers to stay better informed about community service opportunities in the tri-county areas of Portland, Oregon, as well as non-profit internships and scholarships available locally and nationally.
