Help Those Who Have Fallen Through the Health Care Gaps as a Intake Volunteer
Intake Volunteer Position at our Hillsboro Clinic 266 W Main St., Hillsboro, OR
Clinic hours are from 5-8:30pm on Monday and Thursday Evenings
PRE-CLINIC DUTIES:
- Sign in on SWCHC Volunteer Log.
- Review appointment book and any special instructions. (@ PDX or Thursdays @ Hillsboro).
- Assure returning client charts are pulled and available.
- Check desk supplies.
- Greet clinic volunteers and have them sign in the volunteer log.
CLINIC DUTIES:
- Answer phone. (@ PDX)
- Check in patients and prepare charts.
Provide Financial Screening Form and determine and collect fee. - Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
Compile blank patient charts. - Distribute and collect patient satisfaction surveys.
- Make reminder calls for next clinic. (@ PDX)
- Help clean up and close clinic.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Basic computer skills and ability to make database entries.
- Professional phone and reception manner.
- Good organizational skills.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse racial, ethnic and economic populations.
- Availability on a regularly scheduled basis and consistent email contact for scheduling purpose.
- At least a six month commitment.
