About the exhibition
Always one of the most anticipated shows of the season, the annual juried show attracts entries from all disciplines taught at the Sylvania campus including stone carving, casting, metal sculpture, assemblage, ceramics, digital photography, design, calligraphy, drawing, painting and watercolor. The 2013 show features over 100 individual artworks. This year’s exhibition was juried by Victor Maldonado, Art Professor at Pacific Northwest College of Art.
Top Awards for the 2013 show include:
- Best of Show: Vieve Pritchard
- Best 3-D: Maiko Handa
- Best 2-D: Avery Whaley
A special People’s Choice award will be given near the close of the exhibition to honor the most popular artwork in the show; gallery visitors have been invited to submit an anonymous ballot to vote for their favorite work. A reception will be held for that announcement on June 6 at 2pm.
