Paragon Arts Gallery at PCC Cascade presents W H OARETHESEWO O D S by Tilke Elkins. Please join us for an opening reception on Friday, August 3 from 4-7pm, and artist’s talk & discussion on Friday, August 10 at 6pm. Elkins will be present during gallery hours Wednesday through Saturday, August 9-11 and 16-18 for demonstrations, with an all-ages drawing event on Thursday, August 16 from 10am-2pm. All events and programming are free of charge.
Unbidden and in the absence of other tools or guides, imagination reflexively seeks out aesthetic harmony in outdoor places, propelled by beauty and deflecting the ignorance or hurt that the landscape reveals. This tactile, visual work involving found objects and mineral, plant & petrochemical pigments is a poetic immersion in the confluence of matter & imagination, and is designed to generate questions about the nature of both.
