The Northwest Regional Education Service District recently reported on one student’s experience at the Rock Creek STEAM Lab.
“A student at Pacific Academy, a Beaverton-based social emotional learning school, recently took a field trip to Portland Community College’s Rock Creek campus to learn how to use special equipment in the college’s science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) lab.”
“The senior will take the skills they learned at the lab back to high school and teach their fellow classmates.”
“‘It was fun to learn new ways of doing art projects and utilizing my own art to make stickers” they said. “I am excited to have more time on the Cricut machine and to teach others how to create fun crafts.'”
