Portland Community College will honor Intel Corp. with its "Outstanding Community Service Award" for its many contributions to the college. The ceremony and reception is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 21, 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the CAPITAL Center dining room, N.W. 185th and Walker Road in Aloha. The award will be presented at 6:45 p.m.
Keith Thomson, Intel vice president and Oregon site manager, will accept the award for Intel. The PCC Board of Directors, President Dan Moriarty and the college Foundation jointly present the award.
"Portland Community College has benefited tremendously from its association with Intel," noted Dan Moriarty, PCC president. "But the college is honoring Intel for much more than their financial contributions to the college. Intel has been an outstanding corporate citizen, participating in all aspects of community life."
At the ceremony, in addition to Moriarty, Mike Hereford, PCC Board chair, and Jill Eiland, chair of the PCC Foundation, will provide remarks.
