PCC Holds Forum to Introduce Rock Creek Executive Dean Finalists

Portland Community College is on the last leg of an executive search to appoint a new leader for the Rock Creek Campus and for programs that provide training for business and industry. The search committee for the new Rock Creek executive dean has narrowed the field to three candidates. They are Kathleen Kistler, vice president of academic and student affairs, Shasta College, Redding, Calif.; Joe Forrester, dean of Timberline campus, Colorado Mountain College, Leadville, Colo.; and Merna Saliman, vice-president of instruction at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Colo. All three candidates hold doctoral degrees in education.
The college will hold community meetings at the Rock Creek Campus, 17705 N.W. Springville Road, at 2:30 p.m. on March 4, 5, and 9 in Building 7, Room 121, to introduce each candidate.
The schedule is: Kathleen Kistler, Wednesday, March 4; Joe Forrester, Thursday, March 5; and Merna Saliman, Monday, March 9.
