Application Deadline Extended for Free Women Entrepreneur Program at PCC Training Center Near OMSI

The registration deadline for an innovative program seeking to boost the number of female-owned businesses in the state of Oregon has been extended to Friday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m.

Project NEW (the Network to Empower Entrepreneurial Women) is being provided for free Feb. 3 through March 31 by PCC’s Institute for Management and Professional Development (IMPD) to give prospective women entrepreneurs the tools they need to succeed in business. The course will be held at the Central Portland Workforce Training Center, 1626 S.E. Water Ave., from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesdays for nine weeks.

Course training includes an intense study of entrepreneurship, how to draw up a business plan, how to promote a business, empowerment and leadership techniques, how to manage cash flow, how to finance a new venture and more.
