Portland Community College has a Fresh Floral Design Program that can help you in the medium whether you are a beginner or an expert. Besides the basics, students will get an in-depth and concentrated course in floral design that will be challenging for even the most skillful of designers.

Some of the features are classes in European Design, Contemporary Floral Art, Hospital/Sympathy Design, Wedding Body Flowers, Bouquets, Church and Reception Design, Ikabana and more. Students already in the floral industry can register for any of the Floral Design classes to expand on and refresh their design skills. Beginning students must take one of the Introduction to Floral Design classes as a pre-requisite. Pre-registration is required for all classes. Please note that most of the classes require a materials fee payable to the instructor at the first class. Students receive continuing education credit (CEU) upon successful completion of courses.

Classes are held at PCC’s Workforce Training Center at the Capital Center (N.W. 185th and Walker Road) and southeast Portland locations. For a complete brochure of classes, call 503-533-2708.
