Learn Tricks of the Trade to Improve Memory

PORTLAND ‘ Are you lost when trying to remember what you did last weekend? Portland Community College can help you discover how to get back your memory in the non-credit class Enhancing Your Memory. Get an in-depth understanding of how a person’s memory works and why it changes with age, learning the difference between normal age-related memory loss and dementia. Also, identify factors that could affect memory loss such as nutrition, medication and stress. Instructor Judy Ann Smith will guide people through this informative class, which costs $18, giving tips and tricks on how to improve memory everyday.

The course will run every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon, beginning Wednesday, July 12 and concluding July 26 at the Bishop Morris Place, located at 2420 N.W. Marshall Street. The course’s text will be, "Improving Your Memory," by Fogler and Stern (revised), and can be purchased from the instructor for $12.50.
