Get a Flair for Western Dance at PCC

NEWBERG – Break out those Levi blue jeans, dust off that Stetson hat and pull up those snake-skinned cowboy boots for a unique dance class at Portland Community College. In the non-credit class Partners Dance, students will get a fun and exciting lesson in Western dance that will focus on most couple dance moves. Those who join will get the opportunity to work on style turns and couple dances. A partner is recommended for the class, which will also introduce the art of dancing Western flair.The cost of Partners Dance is $24 and will be taught by Mindy Dehart. The eight-week offering will run every Wednesday from 7:15-8:15 p.m., starting Wednesday Sept. 27 and ending Nov. 15. It will be held in room 801 at Newberg High School, located at 1300 Elliott Road in Newberg. For more information, contact Community Education at 503-538-9774.
