Stake Your Claim in PCC's Professional Development Series

LAKE OSWEGO – There is a special series available through Portland Community College that can help professionals hone skills and learn more of how to deal with workplace politics. PCC’s Community Education program is offering the six-part, non-credit Professional Development Lecture Series for the fall. Topics of the non-credit lectures include Inner Strength During Outer Conflict (Sept. 27), Handling Awkward Moments (Oct. 11), Transcending Cynicism (Oct. 25), The Benefit of People Who Bug You (Nov. 8), Five-Day Productivity Plan (Nov. 22) and A New Leadership Model (Dec. 6).Students can pick up a delicious lunch at Nature’s and enjoy hearing the newest ideas in professional and personal development. A sort of, "Food for Thought." It’s a great way to put training and development into your workday. The Professional Development Lecture Series sessions are every Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m., starting Wednesday, Sept. 27 and ending Dec. 6. The fee for attending the entire series is $10, or $2 for each individual lecture. The lectures will be held at Nature’s in Lake Oswego, located at 17711 Jean Road.
