Media Advisory: PCC Senior Studies Institute Focuses on Theater Processes

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Community College’s Senior Studies Institute will spotlight live and local theater in a special series set to begin Monday, Feb. 19 and concluding Monday, March 12. The program will occur every Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at the SMILE Station, located at SE 13th and Tenino St. Local drama coaches, actors, directors and educators will talk about reading for parts, rehearsals, set design and the cultural significance of live theater to local communities. Actors and directors from the Artists Repertory Theatre and Stark Raving Theatre will be on hand for class discussions.
