PCC Slates Free Travel Fair

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Community College is sponsoring a free travel fair from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at the PCC Central Portland Workforce Training Center, 1626 S.E. Water Ave.The fair will consist of three non-credit informational sessions describing various PCC travel programs. Participants will meet trip leaders, view slides of previous trips and learn about specific travel itineraries. Sessions will cover foreign language programs in Mexico, Costa Rica and Italy; volunteer work trips with Northwest Medical Teams; the art and architecture tour of London, Renaissance Italy, Paris and Spain; study trips to Vietnam, China, Tibet and Egypt; and an ecology trip to Costa Rica. Sessions run from 9 to 10 a.m.; 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.; and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.PCC’s educational travel programs are designed for adults who want a more in-depth travel experience. With a focus on cultural understanding, the programs include on-site lectures, field experiences and people-to-people visits.
