PCC Class Explores Crone Phenomenon

Photos and story by

HILLSBORO, Ore. – Women ready to explore the third stage of womanhood known as "mother/maiden/crone"are invited to attend a Portland Community College class titled Embracing the Crone. The non-credit class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 18 through Nov. 29, at the Hillsboro Public Library at Tanasbourne, 2453 N.W. 185th Ave. No class Nov. 22. Tuition is $42. Instructor Jennifer Septon will lead "50-and-60-something"women (and prematurely wise 40-somethings) on a journey that begins when wisdom-seeking replaces youth-chasing and the realm of "wise woman/crone"becomes reality. Participants are encouraged to bring their journal and their funny bone to share wisdom-building lessons and losses they have encountered along the way.For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-533-2708.
