PCC Offers Health and Fitness Classes

This winter, Portland Community College will offer opportunities to ring in the New Year with a renewed commitment to staying in shape. The college’s winter slate of classes in the communities along the Highway 99 corridor include Tai Chi, Yoga, and Water Aerobics. Each non-credit class geared toward a variety of fitness levels and interests. A class in Newberg will be offered as follows:Yoga Level I, 6 to 7 p.m. Fridays, Jan. 11 through March 22, PCC Newberg Center; 301 N. Elliott Road. Cost is $33.Classes in Sherwood will be offered as follows:Tai Chi, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Fridays, Jan. 11 through March 22, Sherwood Family YMCA, 23000 S.W. Pacific Highway. Cost is $41.Yoga Level I, 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 10 through March 21, Sherwood High School, 1155 Meinecke Road. Cost is $38.Classes in Tigard will be offered as follows:Tai Chi Quan, 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 8 through March 19, Tigard Senior Center, 8815 S.W. O’Mara St. Cost is $40. Great Water Aerobic Workout, 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, Jan. 7 through March 21, Tigard Swim Center, 8680 S.W. Durham Road. Cost is $49.A class in Tualatin will be offered as follows:Yoga Level I, 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 9 through March 20, Hazelbrook Middle School, 11300 S.W. Hazelbrook Road.
