Improve Productivity in Relationships Through Noon-Hour Lecture Series

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. – Set a noon-hour appointment for a booster shot of professional and personal skills in Portland Community College’s lecture series. Great for businesses, work teams and individuals, this series will offer action tools to foster healthy relationships. The non-credit series of six lectures will take place from noon to 1 p.m. every Wednesday, April 3 through June 12, at Lake Oswego Natures, 17711 Jean Road. Cost is $10 for the series or $5 per lecture. The series includes the following topics:Leadership in a Changing World with Ed Washington (April 3). Understand the skills needed to adapt as a leader and how to encourage openness in your organization.Inspiring Commitment and Accountability with Kim Bishop (April 17). Take ownership in your work and inspire caring in your organization by addressing the challenge of responsibility.From Resistance to Assistance with Carl Casanova (May 1). Build a cooperative relationship base and understand the mindset of the resister.Infectious Enthusiasm with Wendy Sample (May 15). Explore how to create more energy, enthusiasm and fun by building an infectious positive attitude.Emotional Connection and Successful Work Relations with Kent Matthews (May 29). Put the brakes on emotional situations while learning to correct others’ mistakes with tact, supervise without alienating, and not take issues so personally. The Psychology of Winning with Frank Mungeam (June 12).
