Lunch and learn at Free Downtown Portland Lecture Series

PORTLAND, Ore. – Downtown Portlanders can chew on free advice ranging from goal setting to relationship management at Portland Community College Brown Bag Lecture Series this spring, co-sponsored by Multnomah County Library. The free series will take place from noon to 1 p.m. every Thursday between April 4 and May 9 at Central Library, 801 S.W. 10th Ave. Each lecture is designed to feature a knowledgeable speaker who will offer insightful, easy-to-implement tactics toward creating greater personal enrichment – all within the convenience of the lunch hour. Topics include the following:Nine Steps to the Well-Lived Life with Richard Kent Matthews (April 4). Learn easy steps for turning ho-hum daily existence into a rewarding experience.Healthy Relationships at Work and Home with Rob Solomon (April 11). Discover what makes a relationship healthy and specific skills to deepen intimacy.Who Moved My Cheese with Carl Cassanova (April 18). Learn how to better understand and grow from change, based on the popular book.Anger 101 with Rickey Koehler (April 25). Learn how to cope with being angry without being offensive or abusive.Courage to Confront with Carolyn Waterfall (May 2). Explore how to make others aware of your thoughts and feelings in a constructive way.Creating Wellness in Difficult Times with Douglas Bloch (May 9).
