PCC Course Opens Parachute for Job Seekers

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Job-seeking skills have taken on even greater importance as Oregon’s unemployment rate has soared to the nation’s highest. Job seekers need every advantage they can in this competitive environment. This spring, Portland Community College will offer a non-credit course giving practical advice on networking, interviewing, resume writing and job-hunting skills to help Oregonians land on their feetWhether unemployed or looking for a change, students will gain insight with Career Series – Finding the Next Opportunity. Instructor Robert Frederickson will teach concrete skills while emphasizing how to maintain a positive attitude throughout the job search.The class will meet from 6:30 to 9 p.m. every Monday from April 8 to May 13 at Whitford Middle School, 7935 S.W.
