Pet Workshop Begs for Attention From Dog, Cat Owners

PORTLAND, Ore. – Spend your Saturday mornings boning up on your dog and cat skills. This non-credit course covers the gamut, from choosing the proper pet to getting the skinny on natural foods. It all adds up to maximizing your happiness with your four-legged friend in Portland Community College’s class, The New Art of the Dog. Instructor Justine Merrill will cover tips on assessing temperament, working with natural characteristics, evaluating proper nutrition and making informed decisions. The class will meet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for two Saturdays, May 11 and 18, in Room 323 of the HT building, Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $25.
