PCC's ?Private Eyes' Promises to Cast Spell

PORTLAND, Ore. – Nothing is what it seems and the conclusion will leave you spellbound. That’s what the spring term production of Steven Dietz’s play, "Private Eyes,"will leave theatergoers. This production is put on by Portland Community College’s theater arts department and will raise the curtain at 7:30 p.m. from May 9-11 and May 16-18 in the Performing Arts Center of the Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for general admission.The plot is set in the present time and revolves around the themes of jealousy, deception and illusion. PCC instructor Rick Mullins will direct and theater manager Dan Hayes is serving as technical director. Portland students Mike Danfield (lighting), Kody Harris (scenic design), Tamara Leigh Hawkins (costuming) and Arielle Corson (stage manager) will also assist with production. The cast includes Portland residents Jesse Goldtrap as Matthew; Stephanie Alexakis as Lisa; Travis Foxx as Adrian; and Tom O’Halloran as Frank. Kira MacNaughton of Hillsboro will play Cory.Tickets can be purchased at the Sylvania Campus bookstore, at the door on performance nights, or by phone at 503-977-4949. The box office opens at 6:30 p.m. The show on Thursday, May 16 will be interpreted for the hearing impaired.
