Learn Digital Technology to Work Smarter, Not Harder

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. – You just took a picture of your daughter scoring the winning goal in a soccer game with your new digital camera. Now, you’d like to e-mail it to everyone you know. The trouble is, you don’t know how to get the picture from the camera to the computer A Portland Community College summer class can fix that. In conjunction with SynerGenii Creative Digital Solutions, PCC will present several digital technology courses at the Technology Learning Center, 3 Centerpointe Drive in Lake Oswego. These non-credit classes will be taught by Rebecca Forbes. Tuition for each class is $10 with an additional fee payable at the first class to SynerGenii.Traveling Digitally will offer instruction about using e-mail around the world, using a digital camera on the road, and uploading images to a free photo-sharing Web site. The class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, June 27. A fee of $29 is payable to SynerGenii.The following three classes each have a $99 fee payable to SynerGenii: Digital Images will cover skills for transferring, organizing, editing and sharing images. The class will meet from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday, June 24, and Wednesday, June 26. PowerPoint Fundamentals will tackle planning and developing presentations. The class will meet from 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesdays, July 10 and July 17. Digital Communications Using Palm Pilot, Outlook and MS Word will focus on data entry and the production of mailing labels, envelopes and lists, as well as e-mail organization.
