PCC Offers Computer Classes Taught in Spanish

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Spanish speakers with little or no English ability can gain in-depth computer skills through Portland Community College this summer. Two non-credit classes will offer hands-on experience from native Spanish instructor Braulio Garcia, as well as Spanish study materials.Nivel I (Level I) will use Windows 98 to teach students with little or no computer experience. The class will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 25 through July 11, in Room 1532 of PCC’s Capital Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road. Cost is $50.Nivel II y Word (Level II and Word) requires an introductory class prerequisite and will offer more in-depth instruction with both Windows 98 and Word 97. The class will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 16 through July 30, also in Room 1532 of PCC’s Capital Center. Cost is $50.
