PCC Theater Arts Dept. Presents ?Children of a Lesser God'

SYLVANIA CAMPUS – Mark Medoff’s play, "Children of a Lesser God,"is the fall term production of the Portland Community College Theater Arts department, Sylvania Campus this November.This deeply moving, beautifully written play details the romance and marriage of a spirited deaf girl and the devoted (and hearing) young teacher she meets at the school for the deaf. Show times are at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 14-16 and 21-23 at the Performing Arts Center, located at 12000 S.W. 49th Ave.Sue Parks-Hilden, theater arts instructor, will direct the production and Dan Hays, theater coordinator, will be technical director and designer. Students include Margaret Louise Chapman as costume designer and Tamara Leigh Hawkins as stage manager and assistant director. The student cast includes Chris Knuston (Portland) as Orin, Dana O’Leary (Portland) as Lydia, RaVen Seqouia (Portland) as Sarah Norman, Nathan Williams (Beaverton) as James Leeds, Kiara Richardson (Milwaukie) as Edna Klein, Shaundra Heide (Portland) as Mrs. Norman and Galin McMahon (Gresham) as Mr. Franklin.Tickets are $5 for students and seniors and $7 for general admission.
