This PCC Art Exhibition Leaves an Impression

SYLVANIA CAMPUS – Portland Community College’s North View Gallery presents "Big Blocks,"a group show of well-known Oregon printmakers that is a cut above. The North View Gallery, located at the Sylvania Campus (12000 S.W. 49th Ave.), features large-scale woodcut and linoleum block prints from 13 Oregon artists through Friday, Nov. 8. (The show opened Oct. 6.) There will be a printmaking demonstration by artist Dennis Cunningham from 2 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, and from 4 to 6 p.m., the gallery will host a reception for the artists. The reception, open to the public, will give individuals a chance to interact with the artists and to learn more about the woodcut and linoleum block print processes. The featured artists include Jonnel Covault, Manuel Izquierdo, Laverne Krause, Suzanne Tufenkian, George Johansen, Jack McLarty, Mickey Weaver, Susan Sutherland-Martin, Jennifer Guskie, Kacey Joyce, Morgan Walker and Anne Warnock.
