Photos and story by

PORTLAND, Ore. – When it comes to decorating, whose style should grace your home: yours or theirs? Portland Community College can help you identify your personal taste and decorate with courage in an upcoming non-credit class. Decorating with Torque will present the secrets of blending styles while expressing your personality. Students will discover how to reclaim space, reflect the seasons, add room for whimsy, and pick colors with courage. Bring an 8X11 color photocopy of a problem room for individualized strategy help. The class will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 7 through March 11, in Room 126 at Grant High School, 2245 N.E. 36th. Cost is $80. For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-978-5205.
