Free Lecture Series Helps Navigate Tough Job Market

NEWBERG, Ore. – Oregon’s job market offers no easy paths. That is why it is important to gain the perspective, instincts and skills necessary to make wise career decisions and navigate the market. Portland Community College will present a non-credit evening lecture series designed to offer insight into putting yourself in the forefront of employers’ minds. Topics will feature how to make successful career decisions, the nuts and bolts of networking, successful job searches, preparing resumes and interviewing. Come meet with others in the same position and invest time in your future. The non-credit Career and Job Transition Lecture Series will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. every Thursday, Jan. 9 through Feb. 27, at the Newberg Public Library, 503 E. Hancock.
