Expand Your Job Possibilities with PCC Training in Microsoft Office

PORTLAND, Ore. – In most modern workplaces, skills in Microsoft Office software are not just desired, but expected. Whether you’re looking to step up your computer skills or preparing to enter the tight job market, Portland Community College can help you achieve the right training with two non-credit classes.Instructor Jana Irvan will present two levels of Microsoft Office beginning in January. Each class features hands-on computer instruction and offers a program completion certificate to students who complete the class.Microsoft Office Level I will give students a comprehensive overview of all Microsoft Windows functions including Office, Word, Excel and navigating the Internet. The class will be offered twice this term: from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 13 through March 17; and from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 14 through March 4.Microsoft Office Level II will continue to build student skills in the Windows environment, and is ideal for those with some basic skill or those who have completed Level I. The class will meet from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 14 through March 4.All classes will be held at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center, 6651 S.W. Capitol Highway.
