Probe Classic International Films with PCC Class

PORTLAND, Ore. – From American masterpieces to the current movie craze in India, films provide a window into the cultures in which they were produced. This winter, Portland Community College will present an opportunity to discover what classic international films say to you. The non-credit class, 20th Century: International Classic Films, will explore films from America, Germany, Spain, Argentina, India, Russia and more. Instructor Zoe Boltak will highlight the comedies, tragedies and musical films. Plus, she will discuss human desire, values, history and consciousness that are common themes around the world. The class will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 11 through March 22, at in Room 101 of the ST Building at PCC’s Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $77.
