Changing workplace subject of free lecture series

TUALATIN, Ore. – As companies downsize, and political correctness in the office grows more important, today’s workplace culture is in a constant state of flux. Discover how knowing the latest trends in our workplace environments can help you thrive on the job with a free lecture series offered by Portland Community College. Personal and Professional Growth: The Changing Work Environment, a non-credit lecture series, will be held from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Tuesdays, April 1 through May 6, at the Tualatin Public Library, 18880 S.W. Martinazzi. The series features six dynamic speakers – each experts in the field of communication who can share their own experiences as well as the latest research. Topics include: Understanding and Handling Conflict (April 1), 5 Easy Steps to Healthy Communication (April 8), Office Politics: Survival in the World of Work (April 15), Understanding and Directing Emotions (April 22), Improve Communication Skills and Stay Out of Arguments (April 29), and How Different Are We?
