Practical finance class makes planning easy

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Wall Street savvy certainly can create wealth, but what about managing the day-to-day challenges of your household finances? Portland Community College will present a non-credit class that covers the basic essentials of personal finance in an easy-to-understand format. Instructor Marsha Yandell will help take the guesswork out of money management in Real Life Financial Planning. Students will gain practical advice about financial planning concepts to make informed decisions. Topics will include budgeting, investments, retirement planning and other practical techniques. The class will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. for three Tuesdays, April 1 through April 15, at Cedar Park Middle School, 11100 S.W. Parkway. Cost is $26.
