Students host open house, can drive for animals

ROCK CREEK CAMPUS – The Veterinary Technology program students at Portland Community College are sponsoring a food drive through Sunday, March 30 and an open house for animals. All donated food will go to the Oregon Food Bank and to the Oregon Humane Society.As part of the food drive, the students will host an open house from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 29. The open house will be in Room 109 of Building 3 and the farm at the Rock Creek Campus (17705 N.W. Springville Road).Tours will be given for the community to see the new lambs at the adjoining farm and the classroom will be set up with a variety of animals and educational facts. Admission to the open house is a can of pet food.Here is a list of the sites taking canned pet food through March 30:-Sunnyside Veterinary Hospital (16416 S.E. Sunnyside Road).-Animal Medical Clinic (1411 S.W. 14th). -Cornell Center Animal Hospital (16155 N.W. Cornell). -Twelve Mile Animal Clinic (21920 S.E. Stark). -Hart Road Animal Hospital (16400 S.W.
