Learn to speak Japanese with PCC summer classes

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Experience the adventure of learning a new language. Portland Community College will present an opportunity this summer with a non-credit class in beginning Japanese.Whether it’s for business, travel or curiosity, Japanese Conversation: Beginning Term I, will give you the fundamentals of this ancient language. Instructor Tsukomo Barrett will lead class in a fun, supportive environment."I think our foreign language classes are so popular because they open a window into another culture for our students,"says Janice Dolan, PCC Community Education manager. "Some students go on to travel in the country of the language they’re learning – it’s a great opportunity to exercise your mind while you delve into another part of the world."The class will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Mondays, June 23 through Aug. 11, in Room 1539 of the PCC Washington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W.
