Doctor of naturopathic medicine teaches PCC non-credit course

Tualatin, Ore. – Meet an expert in alternative healthcare and get your questions answered about how natural remedies can enhance your whole family’s wellbeing. Portland Community College will present Dr. Suzanne Lawton, a naturopathic physician, in an upcoming non-credit course.Natural Medicine Series in Tualatin will offer simple, powerful ways to incorporate natural medicine. Dr. Lawton will explain how to treat common ailments with the use of plants, herbs, foods, and other natural substances, as well as how to take proactive safeguards against illness.The class will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 1 through Nov. 5, in Room 11 of Tualatin High School, 22300 S.W. Boones Ferry Road. The cost is $71 for the series or $15 for individual sessions. Topics include Treating Family Illness (Oct. 1), Eat to Your Health (Oct. 8), Allergies – A Natural Approach (Oct. 15), Raising Healthy Children (Oct. 22), Women’s Health (Oct. 29), and Auto Immune (Nov. 5).For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-731-6642.
