Explore the wonderful world of food with PCC

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Food lovers, grab your aprons and prepare to step into the kitchen. Portland Community College will offer an opportunity to join a professional chef for cooking lessons that celebrate foods from around the world while turning gourmands into gourmets.Explore the Wonderful World of Food, a non-credit class, will feature sauces, vegetables and meats prepared with gourmet flair. Instructor and chef Ron Mehta will teach students how to plan menus and make gorgeous food presentations for friends and family. Students will enjoy two-course meals served on china with each class session."This class will make you love cooking,"said Janice Dolan, PCC Community Education manager. "Ron Mehta has a great knowledge of international foods and will inspire you with his energy. The meals he has chosen to feature are delicious – you will want to make them at home for your family again and again."The four-week class will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 21 through Nov. 11, in the kitchen of the Bethel Congregational United Church, 5150 S.W.
