MAP Program has openings for fall term 2003

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Community College’s Multicultural Academic Program has spots available for fall term classes.The MAP Program offers English as a second language prep, GED prep, and high school completion classes. The MAP program is for students who have limited English skills, are between 16 and 20 years old, and live in the Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard/Tualatin, Forest Grove, and David Douglas school districts. Classes for fall term begin Monday, Sept. 22. Enrollment for classes will go through Monday, Oct. 6.MAP is a scholarship-based program for students who meet eligibility requirements. Classes are offered at the Southeast Center (2850 S.E. 82nd Ave.), Portland Metro Work Force Training Center (5600 N.E. 42nd Ave.), Washington County Work Force Training Center (18624 N.W. Walker Road), Miller Education Center in Hillsboro (215 S.E. Sixth) and Tigard High School (9000 S.W.
