PCC offers ?Enterprise Zone' customer service training

NORTH/NORTHEAST PORTLAND, Ore. – A series of Portland Community College workshops will help residents in the Enterprise Zone (North and Northeast Portland) gain customer service skills and pave the way toward a certification in the field.The three pre-paid customer service certification classes will be at the Metro One Stop Center at PCC’s Portland Metropolitan Workforce Training Center, located at 5600 N.E. 42nd Ave. The classes are on Mondays Jan. 12, Feb. 16, and March 22. Two-hour information sessions are at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays Nov. 26; Dec. 3, 10, 17 and 31; Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 28; Feb. 4, 11, 18 and 25; and March 3 and 10 at the Metro One Stop.The classes will provide 60 north and northeast Portland residents with skill assessments; four weeks of classroom training in customer service; four weeks of work experience through internships; the opportunity to earn a two-year professional certification in customer service; and job placement services.
