MAP Program looking for students for 2004

PORTLAND, Ore. PCC Prep’s Multicultural Academic Program (MAP) is now accepting new students.Orientations are currently under way for interested applicants who are between the ages 16 to 20 years old. The MAP program offers basic English, English as a second language classes, GED prep, and high school completion classes for students who have limited English-speaking skills and live in the Portland, Hillsboro, Tigard/Tualatin, Beaverton and David Douglas school districts.MAP is a scholarship-based program for students who meet eligibility requirements. The program’s ESL classes provide opportunities for students to improve their English skills and move toward the goal of completing high school and paving a way to college. Classes are offered at the following sites Southeast Center (2305 S.E. 82nd Ave.), Portland Metro Workforce Training Center (1626 S.E. Water Ave.), Washington County Workforce Training Center (18624 N.W. Walker Road), Miller Education Center in Hillsboro (102 S.W. Washington) and Tigard High School (9000 S.W.
