CAMP program looking for students

ROCK CREEK CAMPUS – The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at Portland Community College is searching for students for the 2004-05 school year.CAMP serves students from migrant or seasonal farm work backgrounds by providing scholarships and academic guidance for their first year of college. Students must carry at least 12 credit hours and maintain a 2.75 GPA. The prospective students must be in their first-year and demonstrate financial need.To apply for a CAMP scholarship, students can visit the PCC Web site at www.pcc.edu/camp, as well as review the program qualifications and application procedures. Students need three letters of recommendation, copies of high school transcript or GED and a copy of their college ASSET score.Chemeketa and Portland community colleges, through a federally funded grant from the U.S. Department of Education, jointly run the program.
