PORTLAND, Ore. – Tired of the same old job, same old career field? Choose a career that matches you. For women over the age of 35, Portland Community College offers a non-credit class that helps you take stock of where you are in your career, and determine how to create the kind of professional life you really want now.Career Transition for Women Over 35+ is led by Jeraldine Roos, a professional career counselor. Roos’ class has helped dozens of women clarify their interests and values. Just because you chose it in the beginning, doesn’t mean you can’t make a change now. Students will focus on self-development, confidence building, networking and risk taking so they can emerge from the class with a new career goal, and new lease on life."This class begins by helping you discover the essence of who you are at this stage of your life,"said PCC Community Education manager Tsipora Dimant. "Then, Jeraldine inspires you to discover how to match that inner person with a career that truly brings fulfillment."This four-week class will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, April 10 through May 1, at PCC’s Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $129.For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-731-6642.
