Diesel Career Fair to attract 500 students

ROCK CREEK CAMPUS – PCC’s Diesel Service Technology department will host its fourth annual Diesel Career Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 30 for more than 500 high school students from Tillamook to Portland.The event will be held in Room 117 of Building 2 at the Rock Creek Campus, 17705 N.W. Springville Road. The Diesel Career Fair is co-sponsored by the Northwest Diesel Industry Council and local heavy equipment/heavy-duty truck companies from around the Portland area.Students will get to experience hands-on learning that show what today’s diesel technicians do in the field. These sessions will include air conditioning troubleshooting; anti-lock braking systems; bobcat skid steer operation; electrical component troubleshooting; electronic engine diagnostics; hydraulic system troubleshooting; and more.
