PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Community College was awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).Institutions that have high standards of governmental budgeting receive this award. In order to receive the budget award, the recipient had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation, which includes how well it serves as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide and communications device."We have focused on and strived for full disclosure of our budgetary information,"said Wing-Kit Chung, PCC’s associate vice president of finance.
