Multicultural Center hosts workshop at Sylvania

The Sylvania Multicultural Center is hosting a workshop presentation in collaboration with the Portland State University student organization Kaibigan.Friday May 2812:00-1:15p.m.CC Cedar RoomWorskhop Presentation: "Filipino American Identity" w/ Kevin NadalKevin Nadal is a native of California, he has been involved in the Pilipino American, Asian Pacific American, and ethnic minority communities for as long as he can remember. Having earned BA’s in Psychology and Political Science from the University of California at Irvine and an MA in Counseling from Michigan State University, he is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Columbia University in New York City. His research interests focus on the Pilipino American experience, particularly Pilipino American identity,community development, and culturally competent services. He has been touring his one-man show,"Pinoy" since October 2002, and has received great reviews from communities all over the country. He is also experienced in giving motivational speeches and facilitating workshops and discussions, particularly targeting Pilipino Americans, Asian Pacific Americans, and all people of color.Check out Kevin Nadal’s one-man show PIN@Y at the PSU Pilipino Cultural Night this Friday May 28.
