NEWBERG, Ore. – Don’t make the mistake of ignoring one of the most important money management strategies: the strategy that directly affects not only your future, but your family’s. This summer, Portland Community College will offer Practical Estate Planning for Wealth Preservation, a non-credit class. Instructor Doug Moy will walk you through the 2001 tax act that changed estate planning, and explain why it remains vitally necessary even for those estates not subject to tax. Whether you have a small, medium or large estate, this class offers wealth-maximizing strategies for lifetime and post-death management. The three-week class will meet from 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesdays, Aug. 11 through Aug. 25, at Chehalem Senior Center, 101 Foothills Drive in Newberg. Cost is $29 plus a $5 material fee payable to the instructor. For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-788-6265.
