Reel in a new summer activity with PCC fly-fishing class

SCAPPOOSE, Ore. – Make this the summer that you finally take advantage of Oregon’s beautiful waterways and learn fly-fishing. Portland Community College will give you the skills you need with an upcoming non-credit class. Fly-Fishing 101- Scappoose, led by Marc Williamson, will show you how to purchase equipment, where to fish, tying knots, casting techniques and practice, and more. Students will learn how to read the water. The class features a casting lab and helpful books, references and videos. This class will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, June 22 and 29 and Saturday, July 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Scappoose School District Office, 33589 S.E. High School Way. Cost is $84.
