Capture beauty of fall leaves with cement casting class

HILLSBORO, Ore. – The intricate pattern of our fall leaves can be preserved for all seasons. Learn how to create beautiful works of art with Portland Community College’s new cement leaf casting class. Cement Leaf Casting, a non-credit class, will demonstrate the craft of reverse method casting. Instructor Kay Snortum of The Artful Garden store in Hillsboro will include cement applications, shape manipulation, tints and stains. Create three leaves in this one-day workshop. The class will be offered twice this term from 7 to 8:30 p.m. as follows: choose from Thursday, Sept. 30, or Thursday, Oct. 28. Both classes will be held at Glencoe High School, 2700 N.W.
