PORTLAND, Ore. – Are you working on a manuscript or maybe just have a good idea for one? A new writing conference at Portland Community College will help move your writing forward – through finishing your book, getting in published and marketing it successfully. Writer Bobbie Christensen will lead the non-credit Writing, Publishing and Marketing Your Book Conference. Christensen is the author of seven successful books. She’ll reveal her own 10-step method for completing a book and getting it on the market. Learn how to sell your work to a publisher or self-publish, whether you need a copyright, about the Library of Congress, how to get along with the IRS, how to operate your own writing or publishing business and more. The conference is tailored for writers and potential writers, fiction or non-fiction. The one-day conference will meet from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, in Room 101 of the South Classroom Building at PCC’s Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $39 plus a $15 fee payable to the instructor.
